This is the best article yet that I have read about Katherine's American adventure. Thanks Bob. (again)

Posted 04/04/2012 11:12 AM PT by OnTheRedCarpet.com Staff Katherine Jenkins appears to be the front-runner on the current season of "Dancing With The Stars," but the seasoned Welsh singer still has a nagging fear when it comes to her performances on the ABC show.
Jenkins, 31, and her dance partner Mark Ballas earned a 29 out of 30 for their Waltz on the April 2 episode of the dancing competition. The classical singer was thrilled, but explained how the process of getting there isn't always so easy.
"I just feel so much more panicked that I'm going to get the movements wrong," Jenkins told OnTheRedCarpet.com's George Pennacchio after the show. "You know, like you said I can learn words and foreign languages, and my brain is ready for that. But my brain doesn't seem always ready for the ... I always seem to panic, don't I? Just before I've forgotten all the steps. That's when he [Ballas] comes in and he's calm - he's like, 'you know this.'"
The singer shared a laugh with her partner during the interview. When asked about kissing on the show, as seen demonstrated by contestants Derek Hough and Maria Menounos during their dance routine, Ballas said to Jenkins' surprise, "It happens."
"There's no rule, but you know these things happen," Ballas said. "They happen. I mean people get carried away, I feel like Derek got carried away - that was a nice moment."
Next week, the duo will return to perform the Paso Doble.
"In the short time that I've known Katherine, I have never seen an aggressive, not even frustrating moment out of her yet," Ballas said. "We have the Paso Doble next week, which is all about sleighing a huge animal and its vicious, its ferocious, its ah! So, I'm gonna try to figure it out. We'll find it."read full article w/ video---> www.ontheredcarpet.com/Katherine-Jenkins-talks-Dancing-with-the-Stars-fear-Video/8608167

Just a little grumble:
These sales figures just keep going up and up and up in matter of weeks!
Katherine has sold 5 million albums (at most!) I don't know why she said "6 million" in her introduction video, and I don't know why the media are reporting 6-7 million. Her previous two albums sold nowhere near the million mark (Believe, I reckon about 200,000 and Daydream not even hitting 100,000) - she left Universal with the 4 million figure.
I really don't trust the sale figures these record companies come out with! This is not to say anything against Katherine. Artists never know how much they've sold - they only have the figure their company or management gives them.
The only reliable thing about sale figures are the certifications albums have been rewarded, and judging by just those, the maximum albums Katherine has sold is actually sitting at 2.5 million. DVDs, compilations, singles - anything she has been a part of, is what is used to put those figures up by record companies and maybe I'm too cynical, but I'm sure they chuck on an extra 1-2 million sales in just for good measure. :/

I hope telling America won't effect her chances xx The UK took the news rather well, considering! XD It sure doesn't effect my opinion of her. Teenagers always do things that aren't that smart. I never used drugs as a teen but I did other dumb stuff. What is great is she is strong enough to grow up and move on and learn from it.

I hope telling America won't effect her chances xx The UK took the news rather well, considering! XD With all the stars that has died from drug use in the USA. It is good to have someone to look up to that actually kicked the habit. PS. Would UK mind if we kept Katherine and sent the judge back.

You can keep her, but I don't mean that in a nasty way - I think America would treat her a lot better than we do.

Americans have a soft spot for celebrities, especially ones that have overcome adversity in their life. On DWTS she has been showing a lot of emotion and vulnerability after her dances and this is increasing her likeability factor with viewers. Katherine may finally be getting the name recognition that eluded her when she attempted to break into the US market with her David Foster produced album "Believe" in 2009. No wonder her album sales have sky-rocketed recently.
