Hello everyone!! Just wanted to know what the thoughts concerning, expectations and excitement for Sarah Brightman's new album "Dream Chaser" is?? What do you guys think "Dream Chaser" and the "Dream Chaser" world tour will be like? After hearing "Angel" and "One Day Like This" I am so mezmorised! Angel is full of so much passion and emotion! When I really sit down listen and think, it makes me want to cry. :') "One Day Like This" is so complex and beautiful! Ah! I love the idea and concept behind Dream Chaser. I think it is so wonderful of Sarah to encourage us all to not be afraid to go for your dreams and challenge ourselves through her music, like she has. And look where she's gotten, she's only "The World's Biggest Selling Soprano"! youtu.be/NtkUM1wVVi8

Sarah has been my number one artist for a long, long time and holds the most special place in my heart. A new album is a little like Christmas for me, and I'm happy to wait. I imagine I would have loved 'One Day Like This' if I hadn't heard Affinití do it first as their arrangement is superior to me and I actually prefer the vocalist's performance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4HxldcpXhg It's a great song and glad that Sarah paid some attention to it. However, this group did it over a year ago. "Angel" is nice, but it's a little plain. A bit throwaway for me although I love the accompanying video. <3 I find it incredibly moving that Sarah has worked hard, achieved so much and got herself to the point that she can make a childhood dream come true at fifty two years old. It's such an inspiring and an emotional thing. This space thing is played very well into her marketing campaign and it just shows how creative and shrewd she is, enabling her to pay out her own earnings for this whole thing in the first place. Much congratulations to you, Sarah, you deserve it all.

I got back into Classical music because of Sarah(Time To Say Goodbye). Fifteen years later I found Jackie. Then I found Jennifer Rush and got back into the 80s music I loved so much. So those are my two big genres now(with short forays into opera).

I have this album now (It's out in Japan but April everywhere else). I'm not crazy about it so far, but am determined to keep it on.

Sarah appeared on one of the US New Year's Eve 2013 television broadcasts promoting the new album. She sang "Time To Say Goodbye" and it was stated in her introduction that this was on the album. True? www.youtube.com/watch?v=02cdyAa_azA

So early in Japan! Crazy! Why not release digitally worldwide same date? There might be a Japanese copy here in hk. So no stand out tracks yet nicola? Compared to symphony ?

Are you the Tadge from SB2K? 1. Angel At first, I found this quite bland. But because it's one of the very few best songs on the album, really, I've grown to like it. 4/5 2. One Day Like This This could have been a standout if I hadn't heard a superior CC version already. If I try to forget about Affinití's version I think I would have also given this a 4/5, but as it is: 3/5. 3. Glósóli This one is really pretty. I haven't spent much time on this one yet, but it has the similar blandness as Angel and I'm expecting it to really grow on me. 3.5/5 4. Lento e Largo This is actually one of my favourite classical pieces of all time. It was written in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, and I've been waiting years and years for a classical crossover artist to cover it. Unfortunately, I don't really enjoy Sarah's version. The piece is supposed to be devastating and full of despair. Sarah doesn't convey that for me. When I first ever heard this piece, I was tidying my room, and it came on, and I just stopped in my tracks. I don't think Sarah's version will provoke that reaction in anyone. 3/5 5. B612 A long and uneventful vocalise put to B612. I hate the arrangement. Not for me. Skip. 2/5 6. Breathe Me This reminds me of 'Murder in Mariyland Park' from her "Fly" album. Nowhere near as atmospheric though and really dull. 2/5 7. Ave Maria This is it. The standout track. It's not Schubert, Bach or any other version of Ave Maria we all know and are bored of. I don't know if it's original (I think the whole album is full of covers) but I certainly haven't heard it before. It's a great, quirky, choral track - unfortunately, you can't really hear Sarah on it all that much (her solo lines come in at 3:32 and are gone 28 seconds later - the track is nearly 6 minutes long). 5/5 8. Éperdu We are drifting into the realms of the bizarre now. I think there's some redeeming points in this - her vocals are quite melodic, but... the arrangement is indeed, very space like. Reminds me of a computer game I played as a child. 2/5 9. A Song of India There are no words for this. It's a track so repulsive, I can't keep it on for more than 55 seconds (at 55 seconds it gets a bit Twilight zone). Who thought that this would be nice to listen to? Who thought it should be added? I'm sure someone, somewhere, must like this, right? It's so awful... 0/5 10. Venus and Mars The only lyrically relevant track to the theme. Like "Breathe Me" this is a bit boring. It picks up half way through but there's not much substance. That's pretty much how the whole album can be described really... 2/5 11. Kaze No Torimichi Japanese bonus track, so you're unlikely to get this anyway. It's okay. Just okay. 2.5/5 All in all, it's a dull album. This is the first one without Frank Peterson, and his lack of spice is evident. If this was Sarah's first album, right now, I wouldn't give the time of day. It's that forgettable. I really hope others enjoy it, but it's my least favourite studio album from the last two decades from her.

I received Dreamchaser today. I was disappointed. It's the first album of Sarah's I don't completely like. I like the first two songs and the last two songs but the middle of the album is really dull. Maybe after playing it a bit, I might feel differently.

Thes a lot of buzz in the media about the album. Any idea of chart position ? I cannot be bothered with all these offering versions. Someone will end up posting the extra tracks online anyway. Haven't out it yet, will go this week to the HK store!
