Received my cd and have listened to it 4 times now, and I get the same impression each time I hear it. This is really a new direction for Sarah...
First, it is produced by Simha, LLC, which in US lists only Sarah as a corporate director/member (although the Simha name is not the one that Wiki gives as her own production company's name). Secondly, the album shows that as of 2013 it was connected to Universal Music Group (Vivendi, Paris, FR) through their German division. Hmmm...
The album was already in the works when EMI was sold to UMG and Sarah had, like many of EMI's artists, moved on in her own direction(s), which I think are reflected in the music. The music seems to me to be the type able to be used to support these new directions through further production by her own company (i.e. a form of "background" music, if you will) which are related to her UNESCO position or her plans for her space venture, movie production, etc.
Note the Simha production already posted on her U-Tube channel which reflects the UNESCO artist position:
More than one song is space-oriented and appropriate to back a production similar to this fantastic one which utilizes another CC artist (If you haven't seen this, be sure you use the largest monitor you have, for it is fantastic!):
To me each song is a beginning point rather than an end in and of itself. This is a new(?) direction for Sarah in that she is not always "in the picture" herself but rather "behind" it (in more ways than one).
