Nicola, thanks for info! I found yet one site tradebit.com that provides MP3 download possibility, but much better quality 320 kbps samples: www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/157148021-patricia-janeckovaIt would be useful to know the real quality of amazon MP3 files and compare it with tradebit.com MP3 files. On amazon page there is written: Where possible, we encode our MP3 files using variable bit rates for optimal audio quality and file sizes, aiming at an average of 256 kilobits per second (kbps). On tradebit.com, when I added one of Patricia's tracks into basket, it shows: Format: MP3 320kbitOtherwise, I would suggest all to order the physical CD&DVD set. The DVD is very well mixed and you would lose something if you would not have the possibility to see Patka live. The second reason is that generally CD sound quality is better than MP3. If you are in doubts if you at all have to try something from Patricia, then I would suggest to download maybe two tracks. I can recommend you some of these to start with Patricia: Pa pa pa (that's a duet, the CD version contains version with an excellent bassbaritone Adam Plachetka) Songs My Mother Taught Me (Kdyz me ma matka zpivat ucivala) Pie Jesu La Pastorella delle Alpi

That fact that the album is MP3, means no booklet of information, which is something I hate about downloading albums. In this case it also means no DVD, which is a big loss.

I don't own the album, but as soon as I have a few dollars I will be getting a copy . I prefer owning an actual cd and seeing the names of all the people that worked on it. I've heard the booklet was good.

I am definitely not a lover of mp3 downloads I'm afraid, even those at high 320. They still do not approach the quality of CD or lossless files, and I find it a great shame that so many artists are resorting to this method of distributing / selling their albums. However, I do understand that it is an easier way of distributing internationally.
So!! Just received Patka's CD/DVD package through the post. Thanks for the help bogi.

bogi I really would like to get the cd/dvd album but it isn't listed other than mp3 download which i don't want. I'm old fashioned and like to have the album in hand and I don't understand Slovak so I don't understand what the webpage was asking me for. I think Patrika is to classical what Jackie is to crossover a new begining and the future of music. any help or direction would be helpful thank you.

dragonslair, I'm happy that interest for Patricia's debut album continues also in 2012! Here is my English guide how to order the CD/DVD set from Slovak webshops: patriciajaneckova.weebly.com/how-to-buy-dvdbestsk.htmlYou can use any of webshops mentioned in my guide. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
