I find promo videos like this frustrating, as I don't hear enough of any track to form a judgement, but I will definitely be buying Samantha's CD at the earliest opportunity. BTW, welcome to the forum, Stewart

It's great to know Samantha has a new album being released but I have to agree with John, the links really provided nothing to form an opinion of a like or dislike.

Thanks for your comments and the welcome John. I understand what you mean but this is just a promo video, when a longer video is displayed many complain about it being too long. You can't please all the people all the time.
For anyone who knows Sam, they'll realise this is an album worth having and it is really just to inform people that its out.
Thanks again.

Stewart, Did you write that Dischromedia is looking for artists in the classical crossover genre? That is music to my ears! (Maybe that is an American expression, but I mean it wholeheartedly.) Have you any idea how many classical crossover artists are looking for you? I don't really mean numbers. I mean the concept is incredible!

Have you any idea how many classical crossover artists are looking for you? I don't really mean numbers. I mean the concept is incredible! Well since starting this label a couple of months ago I guess I do, it seems that there are not many labels in Wales for Classical Crossover and the one that do exist have a terrible name for looking after these artists. Two of our directors are well known in the industry as composers/musicians and we want to change that perception. We already have a number of projects in motion, one in particular we are very excited about, we are half way through recording the ten tracks for the new album of this amazingly talented singer. Can't say more on that but t will be available in the new year. We are distributing for people like Mark Llewelyn Evans and Peter Karrie and also discussing distribution with several known vocalists so the range of CD Album sales will be increasing all the time. As always with these things, events are moving on at a pace and as yet we only have a temporary site, the plan is to have a three part site where one part will be dedicated to artists to input data to be agreed. It's just getting the time as we also have Dischromatics and Dischro Creative to run. Thanks for your input.

Stewart, You just mentioned two artists I know nothing about, but in the US that's not unusual. We are very limited in our access to classical crossover artists but it is improving. I'll have to view YouTube and take a listen to the two men you mentioned. Great success in 2014!

I'm embarrassed to write that I did not recognize Peter Karrie's name. I watched the Phantom's 25th anniversary. On Amazon all of his music is in MP3 format. I have already forgotten which Amazon I was looking at, I have to check again. I loved Mark Llewelyn Evans voice, fantastic baritone. I'm usually drawn to a tenor voice but his voice has a warmth to it I loved. I see he had a debut album, Let the Light In, and now another album, This Guy's In Love, which has a bit more contemporary feel to it but sounds great. When I heard him sing, 'Play Me', I was sold! I have always loved Neil Diamond's song but to hear the song sung in such a marvelous voice was wonderful. I love male vocalists. I'm always looking for new talent that appeals to me. Mark certainly did, I purchased both albums. Thank you so much for introducing me to him. This is what I will miss most about Nicola's website, the introduction to new talent. Being from the US, I have always appreciated her adding new artists that I would not hear otherwise. We only have a few weeks longer and then we say goodbye, although Nicola did mention that she might occasionally add a new artist. You posted exactly at the right time!

Thanks again for your comments. Although Peter has been around for many years, he still keeps very busy and is always in demand especially here in Wales. He is actually launching the new CD in Cardiff this Friday. What I particularly like about Peter is what he's giving back, he is always participating in charity events and giving his time to young up and coming artists. He is also working on a new musical which sounds fantastic but unfortunately, I am sworn to secrecy for now. Mark is the brother of Wynn Evans who is a soprano and also has a terrific voice, not suer if you get the adverts over here but he is well known for being the annoying Italian opera singer with the rather large moustache for the Go Compare insurance company. Mark is a really nice guy and again gives much time to charity, he produced a single called 'Tell My Father' which is a beautiful song, delivered to perfection by Mark will all money on sold copies going to a charity for injured soldiers. We have a back CD of both performing songs to a piano accompaniment which will have enormous appeal for fans which we may also sell on the website. Dischromedia will concentrate on the Classical Crossover in the first instance and will be introducing new artists over time. We are currently recording with an extremely talented young lady called Katy Treharne who was voted best understudy of the year in 2012 so just on the fringe. So far we have recorded 5 of 10 tracks and we expect to release some time in the new year. All the tracks are brand new arrangements and we are very excited by this project, we think this is what could bring her into the spotlight and elevate her status to where she should be. As you know we have been in existence just a matter of months but we are actually already being approached by more established artists. Best regards Stewart

Stewart, I just received Mark's debut album, the other has not been delivered yet. I am really enjoying the album. Mark has a wonderful voice. His brother, Wynne, is listed on Nicola's website! You have to look over the marvelous talent she has listed! There are songs by Sophie Evans and Ros Evans on Mark's album. They must be related. Who are they? Can I find Katy on YouTube? I'm happy to hear her first songs are new arrangements. I wish her the very best in the new year. Bonnie

Hi Where did you purchase the album please? btw what is Nicola's website address please. We have another album of both Mark and Wynne singing together which is quite old but we think there might be a lot of demand for this, we are just sorting out a few details before re-pressing. No Ros nor Sophie are related to Mark or Wynne. There are a few Evans in Wales. There are quite a few videos on YouTube for Katy, we were not involved in any of these however. www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1A3qMtHRqw

Thanks, I do know that site and agree with you. Why is she packing the site in, too much to keep it up I guess?
