As some of you may know, Patricia along with Národní divadlo moravskoslezské (Moravia-Silesian Theatre) perform the opera called Kominíèek (The Little Chimney-Sweep) by Benjamin Britten & Eric Crozier. There are two known dates when this performance is going to be repeated: 22nd January 2012 at 11 10 AM, 19th February 2012 at 11 10 AM. The performance takes place in Divadlo Antonína Dvoøáka (The Theatre of Antonín Dvoøák) in Ostrava. The tickets cost 120 200 Kè which is currently around $6.3 $10.36, or €4.71 €7.84, or £4.01 £6.69. There are only few seats left so, if anyone is interested, he should buy tickets as soon as possible (The First Date/The Second Date). Patricia shares the role of Julie with another girl, so I can't tell if there'll be Patricia on the stage or the other girl. The play is mainly intended for children, but I suppose that Patricia has more fans among adults, as children usually don't like opera very much. Edit: It seems that while I was writing this text, all remaining tickets were sold (and prices and times were changed), but I don't want to delete it, as there will surely be another replay of this opera, if people are so much interested in it.

lukillman, welcome to the forum! Are you from Czech Republic or Slovakia? Edit: It seems that while I was writing this text, all remaining tickets were sold (and prices and times were changed), but I don't want to delete it, as there will surely be another replay of this opera, if people are so much interested in it. So while you wrote your post all available tickets were sold out and ticket prices were increased for future performances?? I cannot imagine so big interest for children opera if Patka would not perform here. Can you please provide the link, where you found the ticket information? It seems, in the next period Patka will be mixing these children opera performances with performances for wider publicum, like 'Once Upon A Time In The West' last Tuesday in Slovak television within 'One hour for children' (Hodina de»om).

I can't be sure whether those tickets were sold while I was writing or they just updated the site, but I saw around 36 free seats for the January performance and 66 for the February performance and when I refreshed there were just 2 last seats altogether. The links are in that crossed bracket. As for the prices, it's possible that they were raised just for those last tickets and will be back to the lower value when another performance dates are listed.
To tell the truth, I wouldn't expect people to be so interested in it even if Patricia is there, because...it's still opera, which is the genre more people don't like than like. But the main problem is that if you buy tickets, you still don't know if she actually is going to be there, because she could have some other performance or she could be ill and then they would put the other girl there.

In the near future Paka once again will perform at their home Ostrava scene in the child-opera "The Little Sweep". The first performance is already planned for this Sunday, the 22nd January 2012 at 10.00 AM, the second again on Sunday, 19th February 2012. Paka mentioned his role of Julia Brook practically in every interview and because somebody might have a little confusion in it, it is necessary to explain some basic facts.
"The Little Sweep", with accurate title "We are playing opera - The Little Sweep" is a very exceptional musical and dramatic shape. It is obviously designed for children, which makes it clear how such opera arises. The most interesting thing is that it has two completely different parts, but which are directly linked to each other.
The first part, entitled "We are playing opera" is a dramatic performance and describes everything you need for preparing of opera. This part is played in different places in whole theater building. The purpose of all this is that children could "feel" theater with "all senses". In the first part of the prologue, children will compose opera performance with help of adult actors.
After the break, then played classically on stage - just fresh "staged" opera "The Little Sweep." It follows that all roles are conceived as a dual role - in the first part portrays Paka the role of Annie (where she can try her acting skills, because it is dramatic role), in own opera then she plays the role of Julia Brook - here it comes to singing, it it's (children's) opera part. If in many interviews she emphasized the role of Juliet, it is logical, because she is primarily a singer (even though we know that it has undoubted talent for acting).
The roles of Annie and Julia are really the most important child roles. In an interview for the magazine "Pause 15 +" Paka highly praised that during the performance she doesn´t left the stage.
