Mary-Jess will be opening the show with five songs at "Sam's concert - A few of my favourite things" at the Turner Sims theatre in Southampton University this Saturday evening. www.turnersims.co.uk/upcoming-events/2012/spring-2012-hired-events/sams-concert"The concert coincides with Brain Tumour awareness month in March. The purpose of the Concert is to raise awareness of the neglected science of Brain tumour detection and funding." If you live in the South of England and haven't seen Mary-Jess live yet (or even if you don't or have ) this could be your chance to hear an amazing voice and support a worthwhile charity at the same time.

I noticed last year that my concerts often seemed to come in clusters of three close together, but the past week has been the first time that they were all for the same artist. Mary-Jess was her usual friendly self when we met her before the concert at Southampton after witnessing her sound check. Her set list consisted of Did I make the most of loving you? (Downton Abbey theme) Glorious Heaven (Emeli Sandé) Stand as one Lighthouse of mine You can read more on the Mary-Jess forum maryjess.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=concert&action=display&thread=80&page=2Look out for more photos there in the next few days.
