Bogi, Thank you so much for all that you have contributed for Patricia. We have all enjoyed her beautiful voice. Patricia is a wonderful addition to this site. I do not think her voice sounds like an opera singer either!

My statement, that Patricia doesn't sound like opera singer, was about the previous video Silent Night. I think it was the right approach to this song, after all, it is no opera aria. It has to bring feelings and therefore Patricia was better in this video than her partner IMO. Today at Patricia's official facebook appeared another one very interesting video. It is no new video, it is from August 2013, but they released it for public now, just before Christmas, as a gift. My opinion is, that it is really very nice gift. This time, it shows Patricia from the operatic side and in some (not so small) extent also as an actor. Interesting, how much feelings Patricia showed as part of the aria interpretation. Watch her acting, her breathing, her singing. Tell me, who in the age of 15 is able to sing such not easy operatic material so effortlessly, so easily and so enjoyable. It is much, much higher level than Talentmania only 3 years ago. Great!

Kari, thanks for posting the videos here! They come from the charity concert, which was help on 17th May 2014 in church in Slovakia village Výčapy-Opatovce. The event was still based on old Patricia's repertoire, the only new pieces were Laudate Dominum and Hallelujah. It shows very well development of Patricia's voice. The best pieces IMO are Pa pa pa duet and The Songs My Mother Taught Me (Když mne stará matka). On the Pa pa pa duet not only Patricia, but also Daniel Capkovic sings IMO better than on the debut album DVD.
Patricia is studying on conservatory in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Her performances with repertoire for wider public, like this, are rare.
I am adding here yet 2 newest videos from Altitudo128, they contain older recordings from Patricia's debut album:
Lascia ch'io pianga
Ave Maria (Caccini)

An interesting thing is still increasing interest about the video "Once upon a time in the West" from the Miss Reneta competition. It reached 1759 viewings within 24 hours on 1 November 2014, 2 1/2 years after I uploaded the video. Interesting is increased interest from Germany and France during last year.

Such sweet sounds from Patricia! It’s a pity that I do not know about, nor how to appreciate, operas or operatic singing. In these 2 new videos, I think her voice is stronger and her operatic singing techniques have advanced comparing to a few years back. The singing classes Patricia’s been taking must have worked wonders for her. BTW I don’t see any mics in the videos. Was she singing unamplified? Elsewhere I have read people comparing Jackie and Patricia , each camp trying to put the other side down. IMO, since these 2 talented singers are pursuing different singing directions and genres, it’s like comparing apples and oranges. Patricia is certainly a most delightful apple, but because I have not learned how to appreciate operatic singing yet, this listener presently prefers the sunshine orange.

Yes, Patricia sang unamplified. That was true also in the Slovak Radio Big Hall in December 2014, see my video few posts above from December 11. As Patricia gets older, the difference between apples and oranges will grow. Patricia studies operatic singing on conservatory in Ostrava, but she performs also for wider audience. About 2 weeks ago she sang Webber's Phantom Of the Opera, she sang it publicly after more than 4 years. Now it is clear her voice maturation finished and she is allowed to sing such tremendous high notes again. She performed on the celebratory "Concert of Freedom", commemorating the 70th anniversary of the of end of WW2 and the liberation of Ostrava. It took place in the National Moravian-Silesian Theater - Antonín Dvořák´s Theater in Ostrava on 29th April. The concert was not broadcast publicly, I didn't find any recording from that event. On May 5th Patricia performed again, this time in Prague Congress Centrum on the most important event within WW2 remembrance events in Czech Republic. The concert attended 1800 guests, many war vererans among them. The event began with speech of Czech President Milos Zeman and Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka. Patricia sang Pie Jesu from Andrew Lloyd Webber. This event was broadcast by Czech state TV and Radio. Here is video from that event:

Hello, enjoy Patricia's Christmas videos! The fresh one - Patricia's untypical Silent Night finished with high D note. Patricia sang like in the previous years a Christmas song together with many popular Slovak singers:

Both are delightful indeed , one song may sound better in a opinion sung by Patricia or Jackie , Patricia is stronger in range to me an more daring in a song an I like her hair pulled off the face of course , she reminds me of Miss Hadley a lot , there are so many artists with only a thin hair to separate them an that may be just a opinion of the one with open mind an ear . I like her silent night most as it is stirring not of usual .

I thought I would add this excerpt from a recent documentary 'Talent is not enough' broadcast in the Czech Republic.

I thought I would add this excerpt from a recent documentary 'Talent is not enough' broadcast in the Czech Republic. I completely agree an same with a voice , this artist is outstandingly very good but few know her name it seems , I remember hearing her sing a western song I thought was the best I had heard . she is the complete talented artist in many ways .
