I'm glad Brianna & Jai now have profiles. I'll have to listen to Rosanna later.
Jai's video is not available in the US, but he has many others on youtube to enjoy.

Nicola I am not sure where the proper place would be to introduce a relatively new artist to fans of this site. I would like to acquaint fans to a relatively new tenor that could be profiled here as I believe he will become better known in the very near future. I am providing two Youtube links showing Josh Page....the first is a duet with Jackie Evancho at one of her concerts and the second is a solo he performed at her concert. Perhaps after viewing, CC-UK may consider doing a profile on Josh. www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6RP1uu4P1Uwww.youtube.com/watch?v=TGjrbGIZseMHope you enjoy.

Josh Page is terrific, I've been following him on Facebook & youtube for awhile. He even got to sing with Josh Groban at one of his concerts.

I enjoyed Rosanna Riverso so much, I downloaded the song featured on this site. I then went on to purchase her CD. Thanks for adding her!

I loved listening to Josh Page! Being that good looking doesn't hurt, either! Maybe Jackie is developing her first pre-teen crush, I know I would be! Nicola, can you tell us more about him? Thanks

Nicola, Are we still free to mention a new talent we have heard and enjoyed?

I couldn't listen to Jai McDowall on this site, so I went to Amazon.co.uk. I really hope this young man appeals to the younger audience that tends towards classical crossover. We need these young people who do a bit of crossover to help the genre. I'm glad you added him.

I didn't realize Joshua Page and Josh Page were one and the same until I went on YouTube. I listened to him sing Brindisi from La Traviata. Wow! I wish he had chosen to keep his name listed a Joshua. Two Josh's just gets things a bit too confusing!

I found Rosanna Riverso on Mark Masri's Christmas album. I didn't know who she was at that time. The duet is, 'A Christmas Time With You'. I love the songs on her album, Let There Be Peace. Today, I found a video of her singing a jazzy number, very reminiscent of the 1950 Hollywood style. The particular song was originally sung by Rosemary Clooney. I couldn't imagine Rosanna singing that style, but she did it, and did it very well. Certainly not my taste in music, but it really shows her versatility,

Nicola, do you have some psychic power??? lol Confirmed today in the Daily Mail that Jai McDowall has been dropped by Sony with Cowell admitting that he wasn't one of the best (see article here) Huggles Vhari x

Not psychic power - can just read the signs. You can tell just by the lack of promotion and the release date that they had no intention of doing anything with Jai. When a label is obligated to release an album, but want to do away with the artist, they will deliberately release an album at a bad time and with no promotion. That way, the album won't sell enough copies to fulfil the contract requirements that will allow the artist another album. It's nasty, but effective. It also, fortunately, gives the artists minimum debt when they are shoved out the door (a lot of money spent is on promotion). In this case, however, they only gave Jai a contract for one album. That says much. If they thought he'd be a success, they would have given him a much longer contract so no other label could take him. He was very naive. But then, most artists are when they are first signed. Think they are going to be millionaires when most of the time they are left with debt. Sad industry.

Yeah, it does seem a little unfair and when I heard the album I did think it was rather 'safe' and that it didn't truly showcase him if you know what I mean. Think you need to be pretty sure of yourself and be willing to use your voice to get your opinion across tactfully
