ssilvers- the worst I have ever seen on JEFC, or the other forums I frequent, is that Jackie and her family simply have not found the right vocal teacher for Jackie, yet. Hardly an scathing criticism. Any voice teacher that would be insulted by that, wouldn't be the right one for Jackie, anyways.

I agree very much with Sam. Too many on Amazon and JEFC want to put the Evancho family on a pedestal and suggest Jackie could only be damaged by further teaching and needs no further singing instruction beyond Yvie and Jackie's mother. I say even the greatest talents and artists know they can learn and improve.

Mention about Jackie Evancho at the National Prayer Breakfast by a media trainer consultant that attended the event: 'The highlight was the breakfast itself - which featured beautiful singing by the 11 year old sensation Jackie Evancho. After she sang, Vice President Joe Biden said quietly to her, "now I know what angels sound like". ' barrymcloughlin.blogspot.com/2012/02/breaking-bread-with-obamas.html

Who Charted? Lana Del Rey Fails to Beat AdeleFeb 8,2012 "...And the winner of this week's Best-Selling Non-Adele Album honors is... Lana Del Rey. The "Video Games" singer's Born to Die debuted at No. 2 with 77,000 copies sold. That's the highest first-week chart placement for a female artist's major-label debut since America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho's Dream With Me entered at No. 2 last July..." "To Believe" seems to be catching on as a favorite in the Christian community, which could stimulate sales of DWM as well as iTunes interest.

From blogs: More Kids Than SuitcasesMonday, 13 February 2012 America's Got Talent Live"...Of course, I may have had an ulterior motive in playing the Super Dad. Sure I was happy to fly my children across the country to see Fighting Gravity. That sounds like the kind of thing a cool Dad would do. It wouldn't have sounded nearly as manly to say that I was dragging my family to Los Angeles to see a ten year old opera singer, but I was really there to see Jackie Evancho. In possibly the greatest example of why America should never be allowed to vote on anything, Jackie came in second that year despite her amazing voice and mountains of charisma. If it's possible, she sounded even better live, and I'm so happy that we actually got to see her perform, despite not having a clue what she was singing about. When even the teenage boy is paying attention to an opera singer, you've got a definite superstar on your hands..." Oh WOW. I can barely wait to see this movie. It appears Redford is pulling out all the stops for this one. Jackie will gain exposure among different people than she currently reaches through her music. I just wish Redford would let her sing in the movie.
