I once stated that if you can only do one thing on your bucket list of things to do in life make sure it was to see Jackie Evancho Live. Her music wraps it self around your heart and gives your soul a good shake. She more than proved it tonight at Roy thomson Hall as she entertained to a delightedaudience of over 3000. The Dress proved just as spectacular as others have stated and they are correct that no picture can do it justice. It Simply defies photographic images and description, seeing is believing. For those who wanting to know yes she still sings barefoot and has to hold her dress up while walking so she doesn't step on the long trailing edge and trip. the overwhelming response to Jackie at Roy Thomson Hall was Amazing, fantastic and OMG. I asked an usher on the way out of the hall which has a plaque stating the max capacity is 3640 what the attendence was tonight. Thier answer was over 90% paid attendence. The TSO opened with 2 numbers not sure of the names.then Jackie came out wearing her Blue Sparkly dress and began to sing. 1. Pure Imagination 2. Impossible Dream 3. The Summer Knows with Jermanie break while jermanie played Georgia 4 My Heart Will Go On standing O 5 Ombra Ma Fu standing O 6 The Lord's Prayer Intermission TSO played a pirates of the carribean number 7 When you wish upon a star 8 Imaginer 9 When I Fall In Love break jermanie louis armstrong version what a wonderful world 10 Se 11 Reflection Standing O tribute to LE encore 12 Music Of The Night standing O There was no M&G many wishing there was but T shirts official programs and cd's were available to purchase.I wish Jackie the very best in her future and look forward to more exciting things happening as her career evolves.I know I will never forget the wonderful memories and neither will my 83 yr old mother. while it lasts here is a video of the enchanting MOTN www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysmLLLLJitAEnjoy.

Sounds like you had a really nice time, "dragonslair"! How great that you and your mother were able to attend.
What an amazing week for Jackie, too, considering her Las Vegas rehearsal with Cirque on Friday, flying back home for a big concert with the PSO with extended family and friends in attendance, and then a big concert in Toronto!
BTW, the flight distance from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Las Vegas, Nevada is listed as: 1,919 miles / 3 089 km
And she had to make a round trip! (Toronto is a little closer to home!)
Thanks so much for your wonderful description!

Live Music Head 15 March 2013 · Live Music Head takes her dad to see Jackie Evancho Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto March 14, 2013 ALL PHOTOS POSTED IN LIVE MUSIC HEAD'S FB ALBUMS WERE TAKEN BY AND/OR WITH LIVE MUSIC HEAD'S CAMERA. ALL PHOTOS ARE THE PROPERTY OF LIVE MUSIC HEAD (unless otherwise specified). Still wish I coulda been in Peterborough on Wed night for the Stompin’ Tom Connors memorial service. I wish I coulda been there with my dad. My dad and I saw Stompin’ Tom perform live a couple of times together. It’s from my dad, and my east coast Canadian roots, that I get my love of country music in the first place. It’s been years now since I’ve seen a show with my dad. He’s 84. But wait a minute! I took my dad to a show last night! Mind you, it wasn’t a country show. A few months ago he called me up and said: “Listen to this!” And listen I did. For he gave me no choice. As this lovely voice came floating over the telephone line, my dad put the receiver down on his end and went back to watching television. And he didn’t come back for a long time! You see, he was watching Jackie Evancho sing on WNED, and that’s what I was listening to over the phone. When he finally did come back, he said: “Wouldn’t that voice bring a tear to a glass eye?” I had not heard of Jackie Evancho before, but she did sound lovely. Later when I checked her out on Youtube, I just could not believe that that voice was coming out of such a little girl. She’s only 13! And she can sing opera! She can sing Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s Turandot and Schubert’s Ave Maria! Two of my favourites right there. Before I hung up the phone that night, my dad asked me to take him to see Jackie Evancho at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. So I did. And here we are at the show... (10 photos) Comment: Live Music Head With a full orchestra behind her, Jackie Evancho sang Songs from the Silver Screen which included: The Impossible Dream (Man of La Mancha), The Summer Knows (Summer of ’42), My Heart Will Go On (Titanic), and When You Wish Upon a Star (Pinocchio). Some of my favourite show tunes! I was moved by this young talent, to say the least. www.facebook.com/livemusichead/photos/a.425869624147352.98808.148721861862131/479518115449169/?type=3&theater
