I had the privilege of hearing Pip sing on Saturday in the magical setting of Carnglaze Caverns in Cornwall. Despite serious technical problems with a woefully inadequate sound system, Pip kept a cheerful face throughout (if you don't laugh, you have to cry ) and sounded wonderful. With so many other lovely experiences this weekend, I am ashamed to say that I can't remember much of Pip's set list. All I can tell you with certainty is that it included 'Please Stay' (for which I was very glad of a friendly hand to help me through ) and 'Wuthering Heights'. Here are a few photos from the evening. This is Pip with her sister Izzy. You can view more here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151760102295121.872948.806075120&type=3&l=c098dc3c02

Hmm, let's see if I can remember the set list:
(in vague order)
Dreamed A Dream (Charlotte Church) Vanishing (original) Weight of the World (Lemar) Beautiful Secret (original) Fields of Gold (Sting) Please Stay (original) Your Song (Elton John) Ave Maria (Beyoncé) Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush) Run (Snow Patrol/Leona Lewis)
Pip and Izzy were victims of very poor organisation from the hosts that resulted in almost no equipment - in the end, they had one mic and a backing track - Izzy was supposed to be on keyboard and backing vocals. Even then, the backing track and the mic that did work kept cutting out. On top of that, the "sound engineer" would put an end to a song to early, leaving out verses and choruses. Poor Pip just smiled through it all. She said afterwards it was one of her worst ever experiences, but she certainly didn't show it on stage!
Just as well that our party had made a weekend of it at Cornwall, and Izzy gave us a private performance of 'Hurt' (Christina Aguilera) the next morning. They are a pair of very talented sisters! <3 <3

Here's a vid that didn't have so much, er, "technical problems".
