I'm happy to report that when I returned home Saturday afternoon that Sony's replacement disc was poking out of my mailbox! I had received nothing from them to acknowledge they'd gotten my request for a replacement, so I was especially glad to have the problem resolved. I've played it through several times since and it sounds fine - like it should have in the first place! In an interview I read even Jackie spoke of how she and Peter Hollens sounded like "chipmunks"!

Even though this album is a partial retread, I like it quite a bit. It always seemed to me a waste that the songs on the Walmart "Special Edition" weren't really promoted so it's nice that they now get their proper attention. One thing I like about SAC is that the booklet includes the recording information and origin of the recordings. I also believe the song selection is more likely to please her original CC fan base, especially the duets with Domingo and Grigolo.

I particularly like the duets, especially "O Holy Night" with Grigolo. I so much love her singing of this song I was apprehensive that something would be lost in duet, but no, their voices blend beautifully. I love Jackie singing "The Little Drummer Boy". In the second version the power of the Il Volo voices lift it wonderfully.

Playing SAC in the car to and from work each day makes me happy. Just like Awakening it gets better with each listening. The new tracks are extra special, with Jackie's maturing voice so beautiful to my ears. Christmas time just got a little better, because Jackie!

May have been thoughtful to limit a 2 rather then 5 to allow more fans a chance

5 New Christmas Albums You Need To Hear This Holiday Seasonby Marco Saveriano Someday at Christmas by Jackie Evancho With a voice as beautiful as Jackie Evancho, you know you’re in store for an equally as beautiful Christmas album — and with two previous holiday releases under her belt (O Holy Night in 2010 and Heavenly Christmas in 2011) we already knew it would blow us away. For Someday at Christmas, Jackie tackles classic Christmas carols and popular holiday songs, some previously recorded but not widely released. The album also features collaborations from some major names: Italian vocal trio Il Volo, the legendary Placido Domingo, tenor Vittorio Grigolo, and YouTube star Peter Hollens, who also made our list. It’s the perfect holiday treat, whether you’re a fan of opera and classical music or not.
