www.cowancenter.org/jackieevancho.htmlYes, she is the little girl who you remember from “America’s Got Talent” who stunned America at the age of 10! After gaining notoriety on YouTube, JACKIE EVANCHO landed a spot on the 5th season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” variety show. The response was overwhelming and earned her the opportunity to perform in front of the judges on live television. Since then, Jackie has garnered the support of legendary music producers like David Foster and filmmakers such as Robert Redford. Billboard Magazine named Jackie to their list of music movers-and-shakers under the age of 21 because the soprano’s “spellbinding, operatic vocals possess a power and poignancy that often moves listeners multiple times her age to tears.” She brings the house down – an experience you’ll never forget.Member sales begin August 1, 2016 Public sales begin November 28, 2016

Tickets for those that bought subscriptions should be arriving in the mail. They sent us Row C in the Right Orchestra. I looked on the website, and today there is one Row A, Braithwaite Series ticket, if anyone needs just one seat. Those include Jackie Evancho plus a later event February 14th featuring Jim Brickman. The price is $112 for the package ticket. There are also a good number of seats in the left and right orchestra as well. Note: You can also order single tickets, by phone, if you join as a member (50 bucks I think).

I am considering if I should just donate the tickets and cancel my concert plans. I'm holding out until tickets go on general sale. Although I'd rather lock in a good seat, I live so close I'll be going anyway even if it's not the greatest seat. And the way things have been going lately, I can't imagine them actually selling out. (Unfortunately.) Besides, even if they did, I'd think they would just open up more of the venue since much of it's blocked off. In Minneapolis we sat in the balcony and were still glad we went!

Unfortunately the Minneapolis concert was in January (BRRR!) when it was 2 degrees (literally!) outside so the audience in the huge old theater was relatively small. The balcony was only occupied for the first row or so and along the aisles (where we were) so there was a feeling of isolation. During intermission I even wandered over to the next section to talk with some people who had never seen Jackie before.

Less than 4 weeks to go, I count 941 of 1318 Orchestra seats taken, or 71%. I click on the Balcony and get "sold out", so I assume it is closed.
With sales so good I hope Jackie gets a string section this time. Don
Edit add Jan. 10th: 1109 of 1318 seats taken, or 84%; just cheap seats left.

I also heard mentioned the name Lady GaGa. Turned out it was Lady GaGa's mother. (BFD!) So at least Jackie's gotten that close to realizing that particular "dream".
