A British news article just couldn't help but mention Hot Gossip! XD And why not I ask? Trooper was an early CC classic. I know your question was tongue in cheek, but I will answer it seriously. XD The British Press never ever acknowledge any achievements she's had after 1990. It irritates me somewhat because it's after that time where she's enjoyed her success and without ALW. Everyone just thinks she played Christine and then disappeared. Her home country do not have a clue that she pioneered a whole genre and has sold over 30 million albums and had sell out world tours. Whenever she does interviews here, the clip they show is the Starship Trooper video. It's only 30 years out of date!

Delighted to hear Sarah is returning to the spotlight and her rightful place. I have noticed a number of new CC artists stepping onto the scene and it gives hope that CC, rather than disappearing quietly, is returning with a vengeance. Having embraced CC relatively recently, I cannot imagine a musical world without this genre now.
Sarah also serves as a mentor for a number of budding new artists and they are also starting to leave footprints, even young talent like Jackie Evancho. I think we are seeing a new era and a rebirth of CC. It is not just because new material is being added, it is the retooling of old songs from the 50"s etc. by vocalists such as Kristyn Murphy.
All kind of exciting really. To think that the Grammy's tried to kill off CC by eliminating the genre from the awards and yet now we hear rumbling that perhaps the Grammy's have become somewhat tarnished and could end up on the shelf before ever seeing the demise of CC. In the meantime, CC fans can look forward to some new chapters to the book.

But that's the British press for you, and unfortunately almost always will be. The same blinkered approach by our press applies to so many artists. Talk of Katherine Jenkins and it always Time to Say Goodbye, Hayley and they nearly always mention Pure and nothing since, Charlotte and it's the drink not the music, etc. I don't don't suppose it'll ever change.

When she is spinning in the air on stage as I saw in her La Luna concert, I can understand her desire for weightlessness!

Just a follow-up on the UNESCO ceremony of February 8, 2012 (note mention of world tour in 2013 and trip into space 2014): Sarah Brightman, artist, 2012-2014 UNESCO Artist for Peace: “I’m delighted to be in Paris today for this designation ceremony. I’m equally if not more excited about the hours in Paris that lie ahead. The hours in which I’m meeting with many people at UNESCO and where I can begin to make tangible plans to combine the next stage of my professional life, a global tour in 2013, a visit to space 2014 to further the aims and objectives of this incredible organization. Thank you very much.” The above is taken from the script of the video originally online with United Nations web site (see item #9 of full script at www.unmultimedia.org/tv/unifeed/d/19486.html). The actual video was up for only two weeks but can be obtained, apparently, through UNESCO. The remarks of Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General, at the ceremony were very nice. This is the official manuscript (much more than appears in the above-mentioned video): unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0021/002152/215273e.pdfAlso, Xinhua (China) was there and did an interview with Ms. Brightman after the ceremony: news.xinhuanet.com/english/world/2012-02/09/c_131399264.htm

My apologies, but the UN multimedia link does not want to work through the forum. (I continue to be able to access it directly.) I have already included Ms. Brightman's comments. If you are truly interested, the page can probably be accessed by searching key words "Sarah Brightman UNESCO" and looking for that link.
The other two appear to work just fine.

Ah, must be behind schedule. There was info a few months back that the album will be released in the summer, but I think it's too soon if they are still in the studio.
