A shout out to the L.A. Lakers for another rare win Friday night, 101-93 against the Milwaukee Bucks. That makes it 3 wins in a row for the Lakers, a rarity indeed, and all without Kobe Bryant as he has undergone season ending surgery. The young Lakers players played hard for the win. But inspite of the winning streak, the Master is predicting his other L.A. team, the L.A. Clippers to go into the playoff come April, but not the Lakers. Mark it book it bet it, Jayhawk!! Maybe as the Dunk master is more serious then making a name showing off an the poor owner sent to a island , America at one time had freedom of private talk , no mo PS Kobe konob is Toast , done, turn out the lights in LA The Dunk Master also had surgery, on his elbow. The protective elbow cast came off few days ago. He should be able to play in March. Will see.
Yea, the new owner not only has the right name for a ball club, Ballmer, but also the right attitude. Have U seen him thrashing his arms around cheering the Clippers? No wonder they let him take up 3 seats all by himself, if not he will end up wacking somebody in the head and sending them to your E.R. LOL !

Catchy song, people were excited when Buddy Holly came on the scene in the 50's, after Elvis I guess, cuz his was considered new sound too at the time. The bespectacled one, talented but passed on way too young and way too soon. RIP!
Saw this news report yesterday: "The National Transportation Safety Board reportedly is considering re-opening its investigation into the 1959 plane crash that killed rock and roll stars Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. The crash has been immortalized in books, movies, and music, with Don McLean's 1971 hit "American Pie" christening Feb. 3, 1959 as "The Day The Music Died."
My elder brother used to tease me by strumming his acoustic guitar singing "Peggy Sue" to me, back when I was going out with this gal named Peggy. Kinda like puppy love , very innocent. Buddy Holly was already gone by then, but we still got to hear his music. Aah, how i miss those simple times and those simple minds .........................

Not to diminish their success, but I don't hear peeps got excited saying they brought new sounds when they came onto the scene = Same old, same old. I'll be nice today and say John Denver's songs were saccharine at best.

This is it…… NBA Playoffs start today, yay!
Most pundits predict Warriors and Spurs will go all the way to the WC finals. I agree that Warriors is the best team in the West, bcos of the incredible shooting prowess of the Splash Brothers Curry and Thompson, and deserves a spot in WC finals. But I beg to differ on the Spurs and see my L.A. boys Clippers as the dark horse in the West.
#3 seed Clippers will play #6 seed Spurs in the 1st round of playoffs. The 2 teams had met 4 times during regular season, and split the series 2-2, evenly matched. Spurs ended the regular season winning 21 out of their last 25 games, while Clippers ended with a 14 to 1 run. Both teams are peaking at the right time. Yet in a best of 7 playoff series, the young guns will outlast the venerable old gun slingers. Clippers will prevail because their starting 5 will trump Spurs’s starting 5 in a head to head match up:- Point Guard: Chris Paul vs Tony Parker, advantage Clippers Shooting Guard: JJ Redick vs Danny Green, adv Clippers Small Forward: Matt Barnes vs Kawhi Leonard, BIG adv Spurs Power Forward: Blake Griffin vs Tim Duncan, adv Clippers Center: DeAndre Jordon vs Tiago Splitter, BIG adv Clippers
Spurs strength is in their bench, one of the best in the league, and of course in Coach Pop’s almost flawless play system. But Coach Rivers is no slouch either, and this season’s new Clippers bench players of Hawes, Davis and Turkoglu are fitting in better and better towards season end and starting to pay dividends. Mid season acquiring of Doc’s son Austin Rivers is a big boost to the bench too, as he plays well under his dad, and definitely takes a load off of Chris Paul as his backup pointguard.
X-FACTOR: For Spurs is Leonard, who gets better each and every season….. whether he will put in outstanding performance as he did in last season’s playoffs, which won him the Playoffs MVP Award? For Clippers the X-Factor is Crawford, winner of 2 previous 6th Man Awards….. whether he has recovered completely from his recent injury, and returns to his previous 6th Man level of play?
If things go well for both teams, this is really a dead heat, as shown by regular season results. But Clippers have a final trump card, which will tip the scale in their favor – HOME COURT ADVANTAGE!!!! Clippers will send the mighty Spurs off to fishing , at game 7 at home in L.A. First game of Gunfight at Staples Corral starts this Sunday!
My prediction for WC champion: 1st choice Golden State Warriors, dark horse my L.A. boys DaClippers. For EC champion: 1st choice Cleveland Cavaliers, dark horse Chicago Bulls. (Edited on 4/18 @ 9pm ET: Earlier today didn't have time to explain for EC prediction. Here's why for my EC choices - Cavaliers have the best BB player on this planet in King James + former Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving is in top form. Even though losing Starting Center in Varejao due to injury, but mid-season acquiring of Tim Mozgov, the 7 foot true Center who's strong enough to bang with anyone, is a big plus. That the big Russian had played under Cavaliers Coach Blatt while Blatt was coaching in the Russian League explained why big Mozgov fitted in with the Cavaliers almost from day one! Now for the Bulls - They finally have their MVP Derrick Rose back in uniform, and Pau Gasol seems to be rejuvenated after being traded to the Bulls by the Lakers, and got his "POW" back. And of course rest of the Bulls bunch is always a tough crowd to deal with under the guidance of Coach Thibodeau.... no surprise there!)
My prediction for NBA champion: 1st choice Cavaliers, dark horse DaClippers. May the best team win.
