Oh dear, I have been neglectful. Should have posted this here as well Mary-Jess has recently been working on a new album (or EP) to be released later this year. When I spoke to her at The Daffodil, she was very excited about it, but wouldn't be drawn on the content. Somehow I think it will not be just the traditional seasonal fare. Just as exciting - she is also planning a tour to promote the album. Dates and venues are still being planned, but Mary-Jess has confirmed one at Barnes (SW London) on 8th December. BTW, the album will not be released under the Decca label.

I thought I would share some of my posts from the Mary-Jess forum here. This is from the concert at my church in Chessington on 21st December Brilliant! Fantastic! Wonderful! Every Mary-Jess concert seems to get better and better - and only slightly distracted by administrative duties. Certainly it was more songs from Mary-Jess than ever before. Two 9 song sets included favourites old and new, one which was completely new to me, three others which I have never heard live from Mary-Jess before and one 'Don't Cry Alone' which I have been longing to hear again ever since that magical night in Northleach in March 2012. Some were accompanied by the brilliant John Broomhall on keyboard, others were sung to pre-recorded backing tracks. All the comments I have heard from audience members have been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you Mary-Jess for such a lovely evening. I have posted a few photos here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153675646025121.1073741888.806075120&type=1&l=5fdbdcc735 and will share some here when I get more time. Looking forward to seeing more from other forum members who were better placed than I was for photography. And the set list:- Did I make the most of loving you? Prayer to a Snowflake The Angel Gabriel * Breath of Heaven (Mary’s song) In the Bleak Midwinter Walking in the Air O Little Town of Bethlehem Keep the Flame Lighthouse of Mine --- Interval --- Have yourself a merry little Christmas River Don’t Cry Alone Silent Night The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting...) Ave Maria O Mio Babbino Caro Glorious Spring Ballet * Breath of Heaven is a new song which I have never heard before. I would really love to hear it again to take it in properly.
