I now have tickets available for Siobhan Owen’s concert at Chessington Methodist Church on Saturday 12th January 2013. The church is not set up for internet trading, so we will do this the old-fashioned way.... Please send your requests for tickets to John Harvey, c/o Chessington Methodist Church, Church Lane, Chessington, KT9 2DJ with a cheque for £7 per ticket, payable to “Chessington Methodist Church”. Families with children, please contact me first for special rates. If you would like your tickets posted to you, please include a stamped addressed envelope; otherwise I will keep them for collection at the door. The concert is due to start at 2.30pm (UK time). Tickets include afternoon tea, which will be served after the concert, giving a chance to meet Siobhan. Seating is unreserved, so it will be first come, first served on the day. Siobhan also has two other concerts planned, at Holyhead on 6th January and Torquay on 13th January. I'll see if I can find links for booking those.

I, along with about 50 others, saw Siobhan Owen on Saturday at an informal concert in Chessington, Surrey. For most of the 75 minute set, Siobhan accompanied herself on the harp but there was one song with a piano-accordion and a couple of acapella numbers.
In my opinion, Siobhan’s voice has developed to its best yet on her recent album Storybook Journey, but her voice live is better still.
I didn’t keep a list of what she sang, but these are some that I remember:-
Storybook Journey Cariad The Rose Dafydd y Carreg Wen Caledonia Bring Him Home Fields of St. Etienne – Siobhan struggled a little with a borrowed accordion for this, but I am glad she included it as it is one of my favourite tracks from her album. Sora Wo Aruku - (Walking in the Air, in Japanese) Black is the Colour Dream a Dream Prayer My Little Welsh Home May it Be Cyfri’r Geifr – (Counting the Goats) a fun song assisted by Siobhan’s young cousin Morgan A Gaelic Blessing
If any other forum members who were there remember more, then please feel free to add to the list.
It was wonderful to meet Siobhan and her family during their holiday in the UK and great to meet more friends, some of whom had travelled quite a distance to see Siobhan.

She certainly performed A Ei Di'r Deryn Du. My favourite song on Storybook Journey, so I'm not likely to forget it. Martin

This is the last video I have to share. This song was Siobhan's contribution to the 2011 CCUK Compilation CD.
May it be
