Hi Everyone, just posting to advise you on our po box saga.
Sadly things have not gone well at all. As you may all recall from previous updates Royal Mail had difficulty cancelling our old po box from before our move. A few weeks ago we finally resolved it all (after several months of issues with them) and sent off our forms (properly filled in) for the new PO Box. Last week we received the forms back with a very condescending letter claiming that they need not one but two proofs of address (the documentation clearly stated they only needed 1).
Despite this we supplied what they requested and now we have received yet another letter back where they have told us the price has increased Again... this is perhaps the third time they have changed the price in as many months.
I cannot express to you all how frustrating this process was (and far more has happened than I have explained - but I am trying to keep the message short) but ultimately their sudden price increase, poor customer service and rude attitude towards us has soured us to using royal mails services ever again.
Therefore as you can probably guess we have decided not to get the PO box. In the past couple of months we have had very few requests for a physical mailbox to post items for review or inclusion as most companies are going digital for their marketing.
Instead we have discussed it and decided that we will give you all who donated specifically for the PO Box two options.
1) You can leave the donated money with us and we will use this money to help pay for some new interactive features we are designing for the website.
(Including a new member section and artist voting)
or
2) You can request a refund of your donation for the PO Box.
Whatever your decision we thank you for your support, if you choose to leave the donation with us, we are even more grateful as the extra funds for the updates will ensure the new site features and interactivity will be launched much sooner, but ultimately the decision is up to you.
Nicola and I hope you are all well and we hope you will continue to enjoy these forums and the website whatever your decision.
