It seems that most of the time, it is the singers that enjoy the limelight, and I have to admit that it is the female vocalists that find their way to my CD player most often. Yet I also enjoy instrumental music.
Here are some examples from the fantastic concerts that I have been to over the past few months in three very different venues around London.
Fiona Pears at Canada Square Gardens in July
Raven Quartet at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room) in September
David Garrett at the Shepherds Bush Empire in December

Though she does celtic mostly I love the blond violinist (had to say that because there is no way I could spell her name) off celtic women.

I saw Diana Yukawa live, and it was one of the more intense concerts I have been to. I was floored from start to finish.
