Nice find Mariel: "...it was a great concert with the ASO expertly following Ms. Evancho in her renditions of the songs on her set list. I especially liked her version of Don McLean's " Starry Starry Night ". The crowd greeted her with applause each time she took the stage, and whenever she took a break. While she was singing, her age wasn't apparent. But between songs, she reminded you that she's not even in her teens yet, with little giggles, and shy smiles as she replied "I love you, too," to fans who called out to her. The cool, calm exterior she has while singing shifts easily into what seems to be her real persona, that of a young girl just happy to be on stage, doing something she loves. That joy of singing came through in her songs, too. If you have the chance to see Jackie Evancho in concert in the future, don't pass it up..." Jim Taylor's grandaughter Layla was sooo cute perched on top of her seat next to him during the concert. I was seated in the third row on the side to Jackie's left. I wanted to get a good closeup view of Jackie for a change (this was my third concert). Alas, my vision even at that range was no longer good enough to focus on her very well.
In addition, my hearing was subpar because of lingering effects of shingles, which I came down with over two months ago. It broke out near my right ear. It also has left me with some motion sickness, which affects my balance. Hopefully, these effects will gradually subside.
Because of this, I can't completely trust how I heard the songs. Being up close did allow me to hear Jackie more loudly though.
I and everyone I talked to agreed Jackie sounded richer on her low notes, which I seemed to hear very well. I enjoyed all her songs. New for me in live performance were the PTAD songs To Where You Are, Starry Starry Night, and the Prayer duet, as well as DWM songs Nella Fantasia and Imaginer.
It was a treat to hear O Solo Mio sung live, by Josh, who sounded great in it. I had the same reaction to hearing the opening aria to Barber of Seville and the Toreador Song at Boca last year. Nice bonuses to these concerts!
I also want to mention how much I enjoyed having lunch will fellow fans. I got to meet Joe Merkt, Terry Baker, Len Westerfield, Ken Hanson and several others for the first time. It was also great to see Jim Taylor (jimjosh), Alex Moss (Sempi ternam), and Kent Ringle (kringle) again. Alex was gently teasing our waitress during lunch, all in good fun. At the end, she joined us in a group picture. (not sure when and where it will be posted)

My parents and I had such a great time at this concert. It was fun to see her be professional and then giggle like a kid sometimes. Watching her helped me work on my stage presence. I was very happy to see that the producers respect her young vocal cords and have her take small breaks every few songs.
I attached a picture I took with my phone.
