Elegant at every opportunity! Katherine Jenkins shows off her curves in a ladylike dress as she arrives for DWTS rehearsalsShe will get to wear some of the most stunning outfits during her time on Dancing With The Stars. But even when she's not performing, Katherine Jenkins still manages to look both radiant and effortlessly elegant, as she proved when she arrived for rehearsals yesterday. The 31-year-old star looked ladylike in a pretty grey and white patterned skater-style dress teamed with a pair of sky-high tan slingback heels. However, while Katherine looked stunning in her outfit, it's not the usual look she goes for in rehearsals. In fact, the Welsh singer had just come from an interview on E! News with her dance partner Mark Ballas. Tweeting a picture of herself on the set of the programme, Katherine wrote: 'Out of anything I've ever done, my cousin Hannah is most excited/impressed that I'm going to be on the E! News.' Katherine and Mark will no doubt be hoping to recreate their previous success on DWTS when the show returns on Monday night. The pair won rave reviews from the judges following their foxtrot, which judge Carrie Ann Inaba told them was the ‘best first dance on the first episode ever’. But the couple are likely to face strong competition from fellow competitors including Maria Menounos, who is determined to move things up a gear this week with a sizzling Quickstep. I'm a bit tired of the constant bitchy comments from UK websites (read any article from a British paper and you can observe mostly nasty comments towards her). I just don't understand people "hating" her. What is there to dislike?!

Mark Ballas' 'DWTS" blog: 1 down, 9 to go?Week 1 down and hopefully nine more to go!
What an opening show that was! I don't think the standard of dancing has ever been this high across the board in any other season. From start to finish, it was a fun day and I feel like everyone kicked it up 10 gears from dress rehearsal. It was also really great to finally be in the ballroom with all the other couples and see everyone's progress.
Katherine was so nervous before the live show. We went over the routine a thousand times before we eventually made it out onto the floor to perform. I was so proud of her and really thrilled with our performance. I don't think it could have gone any smoother, and that was the plan from Day 1; to go out on the floor and know that we did our best whether the scores were great or not.
What was really funny was when the announcer said "dancing the foxtrot …" in that weird British voice, Katherine let out a little nervous whimper. It gave me a nice chuckle right before we started our routine.
Once we finished the dance, I felt like it went according to plan, but as Carrie Anne observed, the room did go really quiet while we were dancing, so I wasn't too sure.
The standing ovation and roar from the audience confirmed that we did a good job. I guess the silence was the audience taking it all in and really appreciating our hard work, which felt amazing. The judges' comments were great and it was extremely nice to have their support and hear that they liked Katherine's dancing.
Len was right though — we do need to get her rib cage lifted a bit more while in frame, but for Week 1, I was thrilled with our performance! It brought me back to my first season on the show when Sabrina Bryan and I also received a 26 for our Week 1 cha cha.
This week, it's back to the drawing board for the jive; a completely different style for Katherine. I do think she is going to really enjoy "shaking her bits" for all of you guys on Monday. We definitely have a high-energy, fun routine in store for you.read full article: www.usatoday.com/life/television/dwts/story/2012-03-20/Dancing-With-the-Stars-Mark-Ballas/53699690/1

Yea, a lot of snobbery and jealously. You guys appreciate talent when you see it - this country seems to celebrate mediocrity and bad role models. :/

It finally took some one like Jackie to even give CC the time of day here. Besides Jackie there is almost no know CC artist from the US. It is not because the talent isn't here but it never gets any recognition and commercially dies.

I would love to see Katherine and Jackie Evancho do something again, but it may take Jackie and her brother awhile to walk back to Pittsburg from Phoenix AZ after she burnt Lisa's hair with a candle at celebrity fight night, Jackie said her mom is very mad. I believe Daved Foster worked with both Katherine and Jackie.

David worked with Katherine for just one album. I don't know if David will be working on Jackie's second proper album? (I don't consider a Christmas album a real album...)

I wonder if it would be possible for Katherine to take Pierce Morgan's place on America's got talent. Simon Cawell likes to have one judge from the UK on and Pierce said he will not be on AGT as his show is to demanding.
