The album was recorded at Auckland's Manuka Studios, and has generated interest from three major record labels, ...
That's interesting. She started to record her album a half year ago and it will take yet a half year until it will be released. Interesting question is, if it is advantage or disadvantage in her case, when the debut album is released sooner or later.
I am looking forward to her album. I love her voice and interpretation, particularly the studio versions of her songs, but also some of the home made videos.

we wish we could have the album released now,but unfortunatly we are having to wait to see if we can get major record label support with distribution...taking a bit longer than we would like! gibo what ever happens we will be getting the album released as indie or with support from label.

It'll get there eventually Shane, though I would imagine you and the family are keen to get the ball rolling. At least Toni is going to be busy with the Pops and other concerts.
Major would be nice though. :-)

Hi everyone, had some disapointing news today,a couple of the labels have come back and said Toni isnt what they are looking for at this stage....her album will still be released but we now have to look at other funding options, sponsors etc..not what I was hoping for!...so if anyone has some ideas that would be awesome!!

I left a comment regarding the turn of events on Facebook. In case some of you guys aren't on it I said the following: I'm kind of relieved in a way, especially when you said EMI were interested... one way ticket to debt. But it does mean I am less likely to see you over here in the UK. On very rare occassions majors can make a great album, but frankly, they churn out the same boring albums most of the time. At least, as an indie, we will hear the REAL you. However; I am shocked none of them saw your potential. It's so obvious to me. Not only your talent, but the effect you had on everyone when I put your profile up. It takes something special to get that kind of loyalty from people that have never heard you before, know nothing about you, and have no music to purchase from you. It's extremely rare, Toni. I haven't witnessed anything like it before or since. You are special; you're already a full package and one that can sell. They are complete and utter morons for not seeing it. Idiots! Other than that, there are loads of messages of support for her on there. And rightly so!

thanks for that we will look into it.........thanks for you comments Nicola, very good as usual...I really value you thoughts..whats your personal email these days? I think you have mine, keen to send you something!........just on the label thing,Toni is certainly not letting it get her down, she knows deep inside she has what it takes and it is only 2 people from NZ labels who have said "no not at this stage" over the last few months we have had some very strong interest and positive discussions with Aussie and USA people and she now does have a manger in the UK,so im sure it will be sooner than you think when you can meet up..
