Dissertation on Classical Crossover

Hi everyone,

I'm embarking on a dissertation on Classical Crossover this year, inspired by the lack of academia exploring the subject. I just had a couple of questions I'd love to get some help with:

1) Is anyone aware of any academia on classical crossover?
2) Do people think that the band 'Clean Bandit' qualify as a classical crossover artist?

1) No - sorry.
2) I have never heard of Clean Bandit. If you could provide links to a selection of their work, then I might be able to venture an opinion.

Presumably you have found the CC-UK main site? There are others covering the genre, but much of the information available is on social media.

Okay, I found some Clean Bandit videos on YouTube and I would say no to question 2 as well.
There is nothing remotely classical about the vocals that I have heard, and the inclusion of orchestra/strings doesn't make the music classical in style or content.
