I wondered if we could arrange our own Christmas concert here So here are a few suggestions to start off - including Aled as he is the singer I enjoy most, but including duets with other CC Artists (and with himself!) I hope others will add other Christmas songs / carols Firstly the treble Aled - nearly 30 years ago! I have chosen "The Little road to Bethlehem" - " Then the duet with himself of "O Holy Night" - amazing IMO! And to compare - the same song with CC artist Katherine Jenkins - Then with Libera - "O Little Town of Bethlehem" - And then a favourite of mine - "Candelight Carol", sung in Welsh, and sounding so beautiful in that language!: With another CC artist - Hayley Westenra - "Silent Night" - And then, to finish, a change of mood. Firstly another duet, to perhaps his best known song , "Walking in the Air" - and a chirpy finish, along with Russell Watson and Hayley again - "The Twelve Days of Christmas" Enjoy! And do add you own

The videos do not just come up here as they did on the old board - maybe a moderator can make them work - please?!

I do believe you actually need to put the code in for videos to show so on these boards it would be [ youtube ] insertwebaddresshere [ /youtube ] (minus spaces) for them to show

Thank you Mindda, and welcome to the new forum . That particular performance of Silent Night is the one which stuck in my memory all through the years and without which I probably wouldn't be here now (on this forum, I mean). Were you there too? Here's my first contribution to the concert And Hayley again

Hi John I was indeed - and for the Twelve Days of Christmas! What do you think of Candelight Carol? - I love it, it sounds so gentle.... I hope you have other Christmas favourites you can add in ..... I don't want to be the only one making suggestions

Oh yes, I could be here from now until Christmas adding more, though I probably shouldn't . Candlelight Carol is lovely. I first knew it in English - it's funny how the odd phrase in Latin suddenly finds its way in amongst the Welsh. I've already added a couple to my post above, but what more appropriate time of year to hear the Angels sing?

A couple from Tarja.
And just to provide something completely different and only borderline CC. A lot of you may not like this one.

Although not a true duet but it is an excellent mix of the carol done solo by each artist.
