(Contributed Image) Singing star Jackie Evancho will join the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra for a special fundraising concert March 13 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. The event is the 21st Annual Foundation Gala benefiting Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Evancho, the teen singer who rose to stardom on “America’s Got Talent” a few seasons ago, will perform, as will Hugo Ramos, a 14-year-old Inland singer who is a former patient of the hospital. Ramos who was one of the top six finalists on “La Voz Kids” on Telemundo in 2013 and first place on “Niños con Talento” on Estrella TV. Actor Craig Bierko and radio personality Heather Froglear from KFRG will host the event, titled “I’m Possible: Making the Impossible Possible.” In addition to the concert, which is a first for the event, the gala will include a silent and life auction, awards ceremony and more. Tickets are $50 for general concert seats and $100 for VIP arena seats, which includes dinner. A table of 10 seats costs $2,000 and includes dinner. Thirteen-year-old superstar, Jackie Evancho, will headline the themed event, “I’m Possible: Making the Impossible Possible,” along with the San Bernardino Symphony and special guest, Hugo Ramos, at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. on Thursday, March 13. K-FROG’s Heather Froglear and actor Craig Bierko will serve as the celebrity emcees for the evening. The event will kick off with social hour at 5:30 p.m.; the program will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. “Anything is possible with the support of our community,” said Jillian Payne, executive director, LLUCH Foundation. “And this year we are inviting the community to come out and enjoy an evening of fun and excitement. With their help every child can say ‘I’m possible.’” ... The music continued after Hugo was born with a cleft palate. When he was infant being treated at Loma Linda University Children Hospital, his family would visit him in his room. “I would be crying because I was hungry, and they started singing,” he said. After “eight or nine surgeries,” Hugo is now 14 and making his own music. He will be part of the hospital’s the 21st annual Foundation Gala on Thursday, March 13. The gala is the hospital’s largest fundraiser, and its organizers have made it bigger than usual this year. It will take place in Citizens Business Bank Arena and include a concert by 13-year-old soprano Jackie Evancho.
