I think it would be helpful to have a separate category for concert dates, to avoid them getting lost in the general Classical Crossover discussions. I haven't seen much posted yet on the new forum, but there are some listed on the old forum which could usefully be copied across.
I see there is also a calendar feature on the top menu. Is that available for any member to add events, or is it restricted to admins/mods?

You beat me to this one John. I have been thinking along the same lines.
One problem I have always had is finding out where and when on concerts, especially for the, shall we say, lesser known artists. A concert date / reviews section would be good. A members albums review section as well? This could go on and on with sections
The calendar feature on my own site is open to all, but obviously I don't know what Adam has set up. It's pretty restricted though.

Have you tried posting on the calender? I never even noticed it, but it's an idea!
Would you like a separate sub forum for concerts? My concern about that is that there will be an overlap between individual artist forums and the concert sub forum.
Perhaps should look at the whole format of the site?
How would you lay out the sub forums? xx

I just added one event to the calendar - my last concert for the year on 23rd December. It seems that as moderator I can post new events but I can't edit or delete them. If you click on the title in the calendar, it opens up like a forum post to show more details but there is no rigid definition like the old concert calendar.
I think it would be nice to have a sub-forum for concerts, at least for information about dates etc. For the featured artists, it's probably still best to post reports and comments on their own sub-boards but for all the others the concert sub-forum would be useful to make them easier to find.
