Hi there all, my name is patrick and I am a sarah brightman fan here in hong kong, originally in UK. I am having trouble accessing chat stuff on sbs new official site so I am hoping to get updates etc here. I AM also a huge Kate bush fan and interested in listening to more CC artists that I have not come across yet. I am lucky to have seen SB twice here in hk , and met her once. I also saw Katherine Jenkins live here in hk.. So hi there and hope to have some chat with you all!

Welcome! Sarah's fans don't need to prove anything by vote count. She's been proving herself for more years than some of the artists on this site. She is the queen of classical crossover. So don't be misled by her votes. I hope you will get lots of information on her here. Nicola, I assume, is still listening to Sarah's Dreamchaser and has yet to give us her final words. You are quite lucky to have seen her twice. I have only seen her La Luna concert. No female classical crossover can convey a theme in concert, music, scenery, lyrics, costumes and special effects like Sarah. She hits it, spot on, every time!

Hello Patrick, welcome to the forum There are certainly many hugely talented artists to be discovered on the main CCUK site - most are not as well known as Sarah or Katherine. I am fortunate with my location in the UK to have been able to see many of them perform live (including Katherine) but I have yet to see Sarah. I see you have already found your way to a few threads on the forum, and look forward to hearing more from you. John

I've seen Sarah twice. But she hasn't put a concert on here (in the UK) since the Harem tour. I'm hoping that will change with the Dreamchaser tour! <3

I know! I saw harem too, weirdly harem didn't seem to be a massive hit in the uk, and it's such an amazing album. There was very little publilicity around the tour at the time I found out on the old sb uk forum which I think has gone...SB is very big ere in china and hk. A lot of this is from the Olympics appearance.

Aww! You are the same Tadge! SB2K was taken down a year ago without warning or ceremony. I was CareALotsClouds there (yeah... what a name - I signed up there over ten years ago though and I was a Care Bear fan!)
On a very rare occasion I might got to the OS, but that's very, very rare indeed. I think I've been a member there for nearly 10 years and my post count is still under 200. XD
None of Sarah's albums are a hit over here. UK press are unkind to her, and I genuinely think she doesn't like being here. She did a short promo on Symphony (breakfast shows) but that was about it. x

Yes I am the same. I have never liked the OSas I find it hard to navigate and there's always too much going on. The uk one was so much easier to get around and it disappeared without notice. Sarah regularly has top ten hits here in Asia. It's not hard to see why she is spending time on this side of the world. When the album comes out I'll try and take photos of any ads and find a way to post them somewhere. You are correct though, every time Sarah is mentioned in uk people always say starship trooper or phantom. Both were really successful I suppose!
